Out of stealth: Your Transport Brain is live
Today, economAIcs comes out of stealth. Our platform, Your Transport Brain, is live at app.transportbrain.ai, and this morning we welcomed our first commercial users onto it.
economAIcs is the AI bid-intelligence platform for public transport tendering. One Brain that learns how you win, tuned to public transport and then hyper-tuned to your business, with a source behind every answer it gives you.
The LinkedIn version of this story is short. This is the one with the scars.
Why does generic AI lose you bids?
Start with a true story. A transport director told me, on a golf course, that he had nearly submitted a bid with a made-up number in it. He had asked a generic AI for an average driver salary across the region. It invented one, seven percent out. On that contract, seven percent was a £500,000 mistake. He caught it the day before the deadline. Most people would not have caught it.
That conversation never left me, because it says two things at once. AI is coming to bidding whether the industry likes it or not. And AI without compliance, without grounding, without a source behind every claim, is a £500,000 mistake waiting for a submission deadline.
There is a quieter problem too. Point the same generic AI at every bid and every bidder drifts toward the same grey middle. The same arguments, the same shape, the same answers. The distinctiveness that wins gets sanded off.
So this was never about building another bid writing tool. The world has enough of those. It was about intelligence and compliance, built for the unique, nuanced, quirky world of public transport. Generic AI will lose you bids. An AI tuned to public transport, then hyper-tuned to your business, will win you more of them.
You need to be in public transport to build for public transport.
What does the Brain actually fix?
I love public transport. I love everything it brings. And I honestly used to hate bidding and procurement. I have been involved in hundreds of bids, with contract values running into the billions, and three frustrations followed me through all of them.
A tender dropped and I knew nothing about it. The first I heard of an opportunity was too often the day it was published, with the incumbent years ahead of me. Scout fixes that. It reads the live UK feeds and the earlier signals that lead to a procurement, pre-qualifies every opportunity against your profile, ranks it before you read it and feeds those nuanced movements to you, so you can be ahead, not behind. Live now.
I used to read a bid 25 times before submission. Paranoid I had misstated something, misunderstood something, or just missed something out. The Analyst fixes that. It interrogates a tender and gives you an honest bid or no-bid read, drivers first, never a naked score. And underneath it sits the rule the whole platform is built on: every claim cited, every figure traceable to a source you own. The 25th read-through becomes an audit trail. Live now.
We could deliver 75% of a contract and could not find a partner for the rest. I have watched winnable work go to someone else because the consortium did not exist in time. Partner is being built to fix that: consortium and gap-fill intelligence that scores a partner on evidence, not on a handshake at a conference. On the roadmap.
The rest of the Brain rounds out the lifecycle. The Tactician writes from your own evidence, every paragraph traceable. Steward captures what you delivered back into the Brain, so every contract sharpens the next bid. The Tactician is live now, and Steward is rolling out with our founding cohort.
How was it built?
A few months ago I sat down with trusted friends from the transport market to validate an idea. I took a risk. Gave everything up, stopped all salary, and decided to build. They took a risk on a concept, an idea, a vision.
A few weeks later we welcomed a handful more people onto a skeleton platform. We built alongside them. We listened to their ideas, their pains, their groans, and went to work fixing what we could. Their fingerprints are on every screen.
Your Transport Brain was born. And because it was built after the Procurement Act 2023 came into force, the new regime is native to it, not retrofitted.
Where is the platform today, honestly?
Early, and honest about it. Scout, the Analyst and the Tactician are live now. Steward and Partner are rolling out during the cohort programme.
Here is what the founding cohort says, in their words:
“True innovation is rare to find, but we feel we found that in economAIcs. They take on board our ideas and come back with solutions that are five steps ahead. The data we now have at our fingertips, used to inform big decisions, is more powerful than we even thought possible.”
“We always used to arrive at bids late, using guesswork and hours trawling through previous bids to rush something together. Our output has doubled while our input has halved. We can fully trust the output and its compliance, and it lets us bid with a new-found energy.”
No win-rate claims from us. Ask us again after a full tender season.
Where do you start?
Two doors, both simple.
Run the free diagnostic at economaicsgroup.com/diagnostic. One sharp question, then eight more, and you get an honest, evidenced view of where you stand.
Or book a walkthrough and we bring your live tender data to the first call. Published, fixed pricing. No discovery call.
This is just the beginning. There is a mountain ahead to climb. But I love every day of this, in a market I genuinely love.
Come and build Your Transport Brain.
